Ileum transcriptomes of basic diet treated (CON) and basic diet supplemented with puerarin (PU) aged broiler breeder hens

The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of dietary puerarin supplementation on intestinal health in aged breeding chickens.A total of 192 Hubbard Efficiency Plus breeder hens (50 week old) randomly allocated into three groups: CON (0 mg/kg puerarin), and PU200 (200 mg/kg puerarin), with 8 replicates per group and 12 hens per replicate.Following the conclusion of the production trial, the mid-ileum and its contents were collected for transcriptomic and microbial abundance analysis.
