Constraining the Relative Contribution of Anthropogenic GHGs versus Aerosols on Tropical Cyclone Frequency

This repository contains the processed CHAZ tropical cyclone outputs used in Lin et al. for assessing the impacts of anthropogenic greenhouse gases and aerosols on tropical cyclone frequency in the Western North Pacific and North Atlantic. The dataset includes annual basin TC frequency time series and gridded TC track-density fields for all CMIP6 DAMIP experiments analyzed in the study, including historical, hist-GHG, hist-aer, and hist-nat, over 1950–2014. The processed outputs are provided for the 11 CMIP6 models used in the manuscript. The 10 CHAZ seeding ensembles are retained, while the 40 intensity ensembles have been averaged to reduce data volume. These files support reproducibility of the main basin-frequency and track-density analyses presented in the manuscript.
