Sampling was carried out between June and November 2022. As for the water samples, 8 -L of seawater was collected from two layers, specifically from the surface water (~2 m) and between 8 to 10 meters above the bottom of the water column, using Niskin bottles. Additionally, 5 kg of sediment was collected from each site.
