In order to study the mutagenic signatures associated with exogenous and endogenous carcinogens, we are performing a pilot project to see if signatures of known exogenous carcinogens can be identified on lower coverage whole genome sequencing experiments. Hupki (knock-in of human exons 4-9 of TP53) mouse HUF cells have been treated with aristolochic acid, benzo[a]pyrenes and ultraviolet radiation in order to induce mutagenic damage.
