资源简介:
The 2023 Türkiye/Syria earthquake sequence occurred in a region that was known to have major active faults and which had been instrumented north of the Türkiye-Syria border. As a result, the events were well recorded both near the fault and at distances up to 575 km. We performed manual, component-specific data processing with the aim of optimizing usable bandwidth following procedures consistent with NGA project protocols. This processing removes permanent displacements through high-pass filters and baseline correction; ongoing work for a subset of the data will preserve fling step. The present dataset includes computed intensity measures including peak velocity (PGV) and acceleration (PGA), 5% damped spectral accelerations (PSA), effective amplitude spectra (EAS), cumulative absolute velocity (CAV), thresholded cumulative absolute velocity (CAV5), Arias intensity (IA), and times to achieve every 5th percentile of the maximum Arias intensity (used to compute significant durations); metadata related to source, path, and site conditions; and processed acceleration time-series. Note that the unprocessed time-series in their original raw format can be obtained from the Earthquake Data Center System (TDVMS; https://tdvms.afad.gov.tr/) managed by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of Türkiye, and the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS; https://www.iris.edu/hq/). The data contained in this compilation includes recently-released data from the AFAD network that corrects errors from earlier releases regarding baseline correction and instrument gain. We provide data for four events that were of primary interest to reconnaissance teams (6/2/2023 M7.8 mainshock, 6/2/2023 M6.8 aftershock, 6/2/2023 M7.7 aftershock, and 20/2/2023 M6.3 aftershock). The data provided here has been used by EERI and GEER reconnaissance teams and will be incorporated into Next Generation Attenuation projects. Through this release, it is being made available to other interested researchers.
