Metagenomic sequencing data of cephalosporin and tetracycline antibiotics applied to vegetable soil in Xiamen.

50 g of sieved soil was added to each cup, mixed with 30 mL of sterile water to reach 60% water holding capacity, sealed with membrane and rubber bands used for sterilized liquid culture medium, and incubated at 25°C for 1–2 weeks. Tetracycline and cephalosporin antibiotics (4-Epianhydrotetracycline hydrochloride, Epitetracycline, Tetracycline hydrate, 4-Epichlorotetracycline (ECTC), Chlortetracycline (CTC), 3-Desacetyl Cefotaxime (des-CTX), Cefotaxime (CTX), and Cefotaxime impurity B (3-Desacetyl Cefotaxime Lactone)) were applied at environmental concentrations of 20 ng/g (low) and 200 ng/g (high). Following treatment, the samples were sequenced to obtain clean-reads data.
