Valleys of Herschel Island, Yukon, Canada

The dataset is composed of 2 shapefiles including the main delineated drainage basins and manually digitized valleys of Herschel Island, Yukon Territory, Canada. The main valleys of Herschel Island (valleys_Herschel.shp) are mapped based on a GeoEye-1 multispectral satellite image acquired on 31.08.2011. The main drainage basins of Herschel Island (basins_Herschel.shp) were created on ArcGIS 10.3 using the watershed Tool. Flow direction and Flow accumulation were derived from a 12-m Intermediate Digital Elevation Model acquired in 2012, TanDEM-X data © DLR <2015>.
