Comparing Prescribing Behaviors and Clinician Experiences Between Multiplex PCR/Pooled-Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing and Standard Urine Culture in Complicated UTI Cases

This data file accompanies a multi-centered, prospective, observational study registered as Clinical Trial NCT05091931 and approved by the Western Institutional Review Board (IRB Protocol Number: 20214705). In this study, adult participants were allocated to one of two arms: the M-PCR/P-AST arm (n=250) or the SUC arm (n=135). The focus of this study is to analyze those cases from a previous outcome paper and compare the use of first-line antibiotics and provider experience when using M-PCR/P-AST to SUC.This dataset encompasses all case-level data utilized in the analysis, including relevant demographic details, treatment regimens, and provider decisions for each case. This file enables further insights into decision-making patterns using diagnostic methodologies.
