Underlying data for "Prokanota: a flexible pipeline for prokaryotic genome annotation with a modular database architecture"

This dataset contains the annotation outputs and intermediary data underlying the benchmarking and comparative analyses reported in the Prokanota Software Tool Article. The complete code and instructions used to generate and analyse these data are available at: https://github.com/richardstoeckl/prokanota-bench/releases/tag/0.1.0andhttps://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21836753 The repository contains the commands used to obtain the source genomes, configure the annotation software, perform the annotation runs, and analyse the resulting outputs. Contents - `bakta/`: Complete Bakta annotation outputs for the 16 benchmark genomes.- `prokka/`: Complete Prokka annotation outputs for the 16 benchmark genomes.- `prokanota/`: Complete Prokanota annotation outputs and log files for the 16 benchmark genomes.- `summary_tables/`: Intermediate files generated and used during the benchmark analysis. Log sanitization Local usernames and machine-specific absolute path prefixes were replaced with explicit placeholders. Commands, parameters, accession identifiers, software versions, warnings, exit status, timings, and scientific outputs were not altered.
