Digital Archive from the Irthlinborough Nene Valley Community Project at Tannery Cottages, Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, October 2017

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, reports, GIS and site records data from an archaeological community project excavation by Irthlingborough Archaeology Society with the assistance of Oxford Archaeology. Work occurred on land at Tannery Cottages, Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire in October 2017. The excavation revealed several pits, including one sealed by a layer of alluvium and the remains of two rectangular stone-built Roman buildings. Cleaning over the internal and immediate external area of the nothern building revealed a piece of relief sculpture, several coins and iron nails as well as pottery.
