The surviving volume of this series is a handwritten, quarter-leather-bound ledger volume, and contains the Minutes of the Board of Directors of the Wallsend Mining District Hospital, of its subordinate committees, and of Annual Meetings of Subscribers, entered in chronological order. These Minutes record attendance at meetings, details of motions put (whether carried or lost) and other information about the business dealt with at the several meetings. Each meeting's Minutes is countersigned by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, in confirmation that the subsequent meeting of the Board of Directors had accepted it as a true and correct record.
