资源简介:
These items were given to me by my late mother.
The postcard/ birthday card was from my grandfather LAMBERT FELL who was a 2nd Lieutenant to my mother for her birthday on 11th May.
The 2 daggers have been hand made.
1. Appears that the handle is made from old shell cartridges.
2. Has SOMME crudely engraved.
Editor's Comment:
Acting Serjeant 21164 Lambert Fell, Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards), later Temporary Seond Lieutenant, Labour Corps (Comissioned 2nd April, 1918).
The first knife is made from a British .303 cartridge, with two additional bullets used to form a cross-guard. Soldered to the top of the handle is a button (probably the British General Service pattern with royal coat of arms), forming a pommel. Ricasso of the blade is in the form of a Maltese Cross.
