AMPHIBIAN FAUNA OF NORTHEAST INDIA: A SYNTHESIS OF PUBLISHED RECORDS FROM 2000 TO 2026

This file contains a consolidated checklist of amphibian species documented from Northeast India (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura), based on published literature from January 2000 to August 2026. The checklist provides taxonomic information on the recorded species, including their scientific names, genera, families and orders, along with relevant distributional and conservation-status information. It accompanies the research article entitled “Amphibian fauna of Northeast India: a synthesis of published records from 2000 to 2026”. The dataset documents 217 amphibian species belonging to 47 genera, 11 families and three orders. It is intended to serve as a reference for researchers, students and conservation practitioners working on amphibian diversity, taxonomy and conservation in Northeast India.
