资源简介:
Data in this document record measured depths from 1999 to 2024 in copper pipes installed within different kinematic elements of the Cleveland Corral landslide. Copper pipes with a 0.5-inch (13 mm) diameter were installed vertically, with initial installation depths selected to emplace the pipes beneath potential sliding surfaces. These copper pipes were malleable enough to be typically bent or sheared by an active landslide shear zone intersecting the pipe. Data were collected episodically by manually measuring the length from the ground surface to subsurface refusal in these copper pipes. Subsequent measurements that record the initial installation depth indicate no shearing or potential shearing at depth beneath the pipe bottom. On the other hand, subsequent depth measurements less than the initial depth record the depth of landslide shearing. Timing of the shear movement is bracketed by the timing of measurements. The number of copper pipes evolved over the years as some pipes were destroyed, and others added. The copper pipes were labeled with a unique identifier. Labels with an added _A, _B, or _C (for example, toe_C9_A) were installed in a sequence in nearby locations, where _A was the initial installation. This data release includes two files: (1) image showing locations of the copper pipes on the landslide and (2) depth measurements over time.
