资源简介:
The crested eagle (Morphnus guianensis) is a large Neotropical eagle. It ranges extensively throughout Central and South America, but not in large numbers, favoring tropical lowland forest. A powerful predator, its diet consist mainly of small mammals, rodents, snakes and smaller birds. Despite their large distribution, they are currently classified as Near Threatened by the IUCN, due mainly to habitat loss (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a female individual was collected in Capitao Poco, Para, Brazil by Nereston de Camargo, Jeronymo Dalapicolla, Alexandre Aleixo to generate a high-quality reference genome for Projeto Genomica da Biodiversidade Brasileira (GBB) and Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing was conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco. Assembly and manual curation were conducted at Instituto Tecnologico Vale in Brazil. Please check the GBB Data Use Policy on https://www.itv.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Data-Use-Policy-GBB-v3.2_oct24-1.pdf for questions about the use of the data generated
