ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF GREEN FINANCING MECHANISMS IN UZBEKISTAN'S TRANSITION TO A SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY

This article examines the economic efficiency of green finance and investments in environmental projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Particular attention is given to key areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction and the promotion of sustainable development. The study analyzes national strategies and policy measures aimed at transitioning toward a green economy, including the “Green Economy Transition Strategy 2019–2030.” Using a combination of analytical, statistical, and comparative methods, the research evaluates the relationship between green investments and economic performance. The findings demonstrate that green finance contributes significantly to sustainable economic growth, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and improved resource efficiency. The paper also highlights existing challenges and provides policy recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of green financing mechanisms in Uzbekistan.
