Restoration and Improving Resilience of Flood Damaged Sections of Mary River Banks # 1

Sections of the Mary River have been severely impacted by recent flood events, including rainfall received in the Mary River catchment from Cyclone Marcia. The first project team will identify sites within 2.2 km of a 6.1 km section of the river where Gympie Regional Council controls the affected riverbank and post-planting works. Sites prioritised for the first team will be revegetated and protected against further vehicular and pedestrian access where required and preparation of sites for the second associated project will be undertaken. This will include propagation of plants for that project.
