An innovative approach based on image analysis was used to assess the external quality of dried ‘Mejhoul’ and ‘Boufeggous’ date palm using convective and infrared drying. Their quality was evaluated, in a non-destructive manner, based on texture features extracted from images.The whole process of image processing was described in the published paper (https://doi.org/10.3390/foods13111602). The extracted features are reported in the 2 datasets based on date palm cultivar and drying method.
