The Farmland Fertility Database of the Second National Soil Survey is derived from the Second National Soil Survey Office of China, the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China, and relevant research projects on Chinese Soil Taxonomy. Based on the data collected in the Second National Soil Survey, this database extracts indicators including topography and geomorphology, land use types, major soil properties, crop production performance, limiting soil factors, and topsoil nutrient data, taking soil series as the statistical unit. The objective of this dataset is to provide foundational data on farmland topsoil fertility from the 1980s, to facilitate soil quality assessment or comparative analysis of soil fertility across different time periods.
