This series contains the records and minutes of the Veterinary Chemicals Advisory Committee (VCAC). The function of the Committee was to receive submissions and to evaluate the implications including trade implications of the use of veterinary chemicals in Australia; to evaluate the efficacy, safety and ecological hazards of such chemicals and to recommend precautions in accordance with good animal husbandry practice. (1)The Veterinary Chemicals Advisory Committee was re-established by the Australian Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Council on 4 July 1989. The Committee was previously known as the Technical Committee on Veterinary Drugs. The VCAC held its inaugural meeting on 14-15 August 1989 in Canberra. (2)Endnotes1.
