Virome survey of the bat, Rhinolophus affinis, in Hainan Province, China Raw sequence reads

Bats serve as critical mammalian reservoirs for zoonotic pathogens. In this study, we obtained a total of 200 pharyngeal and anal swab specimens from Rhinolophus affinis individuals. These specimens were subsequently aggregated into nine distinct sample pools, stratified according to both specimen type and geographical site of collection. We then employed next-generation sequencing techniques to analyze the genetic material present in these samples, followed by a comprehensive bioinformatics evaluation to interpret the sequencing data.
