Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most malignant and lethal primary brain cancer. Despite advances in surgical resection followed by radiation and chemotherapy, the prognosis for patients with GBM remains dismal. LncRNAs regulate tumorigenesis and cancer metastasis by silencing tumor suppressors or activating oncogenes via different mechanisms, including epigenetic modification, alternative splicing, RNA decay, and post-translational modification. We performed an Aglient high-throughput microarray analysis of sh-NC and sh-RVT1 U87 cells. In total, many genes were differentially expressed after the knockdown of RVT1.
