Label-Free Quantitative Proteomics Data of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Revealing Differentially Expressed Proteins

This dataset contains processed label-free quantitative proteomics results from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and matched adjacent non-tumorous liver tissues. The files include differentially expressed significant proteins by using statistical analysis. This study was approved by the Institutional Bioethics Committee of the University of Karachi (IBC #352-2023). Participants included hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients of either gender, aged over 40 years. Informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to sample collection, and structured interviews were conducted to gather demographic information, disease history, and treatment details. Patients with a co-diagnosis of liver cirrhosis or any malignancy other than HCC were excluded from the study. Tumorous and matched adjacent non-tumorous liver tissues (n=6) were obtained through surgical resection from local hospitals in Karachi.
