资源简介:
Sea ice, ice snow cover and meteorological conditions were observed on
a near hourly basis along the ship's tracks, Jul-Aug 2001 and Aug-Sep
2002. Sea ice types and concentrations (areal coverage) are reported
using the 1997 standard ice observation protocols (codes) for sea ice
thickness observations made aboard ships in the Antarctic pack ice.
The general survey area includes: the continental shelf to the west
of the Antarctic Peninsula extending from the northern tip of Adelaide
Island to the southern portion of Alexander Island, and Marguerite
Bay.
Additional meterological observations, at a higher sampling
resolution, are available for these same cruises. They can be found
at the same referenced web site under the file name: alongtrack.
