资源简介:
African harbors genetically diverse microbiomes that are disproportionately represented in global databases of plant, soil, and human microbiomes. The African Microbiome Program, which was proposed at the recently concluded inaugural International Symposium for Microbial Ecology Africa (ISME-Africa), aims to bridge the existing gap in microbiome datasets that are generated from the African continent. Thus, as a contribution to this effort, the current study examined the microbiome of Mondia whitei, which is an important herbal medicinal plant that is widely consumed by communities in the Sub-Saharan region of Africa. According to literature survey, the present study presents insights into the microbiome and metabolome constitution of Mondia whitei, as well as provides potential links between these data.
