This project is an independent oral history documentation focused on the testimonies of Kurdish mothers and families whose loved ones were victims of political violence and state repression in Eastern Kurdistan (Iran) after 1979.<br>The interviews were conducted in Kurdish (Sorani) and Persian between 2023 and 2025. The stories collected reflect personal loss, resistance, and the long silence of grieving mothers.<br>All materials were collected with consent, and some are archived for ethical reasons. The project was initiated and coordinated by Fariba Mohammadi in collaboration with families of the victims.<br>This work is a contribution to the collective memory of Kurdish society and the broader field of social justice and women’s history.
