RNA Editing Sites in Chloroplast Transcripts of Chelidonium majus: Implications for Analysis of Functional Protein and Chemicals

A analysis protocol of RNA editing was comprehensively predicted, analyzed, and experimentally verified in the chloroplast genome of Chelidonium majus. The results show that RNA editing increases hydrophilicity, lowers theoretical isoelectric point, alters transmembrane regionsand conserved domains, influences structural variations of ORFs, and protein structure of genes and proteins.
