Transcriptome profiling of MII oocytes, zygote and 2-cell embryos (processed as individual blastomeres) from wild-type females, females with a single point mutation in Padi6 resulting in the amino acid substitution C663A (Padi6-C663A), and females with a Padi6 null mutation (Padi6-KO). Overall design: A total of 6 replicates, three from two different litters were processed for each genotype and stage, resulting in a total of six MII oocytes and six zygotes per genotype. The 2-cell embryos were dissociated into individual blastomeres and processed separately resulting in 12 single 2-cell blastomeres per genotype. Samples are numbered by the litter and given a letter indicating the sample from that litter, e.g. C663A_Zygote_1b = Zygote number 2 from the first C663A Zygote litter. 2-cell blastomeres are further differentiated by _b1 or _b2 indicating which blastomere, e.g. WT_2C_1a_b2 = the second blastomere from the first 2-cell embryo from the first wild-type 2-cell embryo litter.
