This study used RNA sequencing to analyze the transcriptomic response of zebrafish embryonic fibroblast (ZF4) cells to arsenite exposure. The goal was to identify global changes in gene expression linked to oxidative stress, cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and ferroptosis. A particular focus was placed on the role of the lipoxygenase Alox12 as a regulatory checkpoint in ferroptosis activation. These data provide insight into the molecular mechanisms of arsenic toxicity and contribute to understanding ferroptosis regulation in vertebrate toxicology models.
