S4_Image analysis color threshold artificial samples

This is the supplementary dataset S4 to the paper "How to quantify heavy mineral fertility from point-counting data". The dataset presents the results of image analysis on a series of artifical grain mixtures containing phases of contrasting color (brown biotite, black magnetite, red quartz, blue quartz). The original sample scans were transformed into black-and-white maps using a color threshold in ImageJ.
