Vegetation Survey in Hailan and Hunchun Rivers of Tumen River Basin

This dataset presents vegetation survey data from 89 sampling sites in the Hailan River (H-series, 47 sites) and Hunchun River (L-series, 42 sites) within the Tumen River Basin, covering two major vegetation groups (riparian vegetation and aquatic plants). The dataset includes: Geospatial information: Precise geographic coordinates (WGS84 coordinate system, accuracy ±0.1m) of all sampling sites, enabling spatial pattern analysis of vegetation distribution; Species distribution data: Records of 300 riparian vegetation species and 80 aquatic plant species, with individual count data at each site, and reserved fields for Latin scientific names and taxonomic families; Biodiversity indices: Core metrics including Shannon-Wiener index, Simpson dominance index, and Pielou evenness index for each sampling site; Statistical analysis results: Quantitative analysis of river system effects on vegetation distribution using Linear Mixed Models (LMM), with complete statistics such as fixed effect tests, parameter estimates, and 95% confidence intervals. The dataset is organized in a standardized Excel format with 9 structured worksheets and a comprehensive data dictionary (including variable definitions, data types, and missing value codes). It can be directly applied to studies on watershed ecology, vegetation geography, and biodiversity conservation, and provides fundamental data for transboundary ecological management of the Tumen River Basin.
