Gut bacterial microbiome of mice treated with anti-fungal Amphotericin B Targeted loci

In this study, we used mice fed ethanol or a non-alcoholic isocaloric diet with and without addition of the anti-fungal Amphotericin B to determine the influence fungi on the composition of the gut bacterial microbiome as well as clinical symptoms of liver disease. The gut bacterial microbiome composition was assessed via sequencing the V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene using a dual indexing approach on the Illumina MiSeq platform.
