This study aims to use 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing technology to systematically analyze the long-term effects of Nauclea officinalis intake on mammalian gut microbiota structure and composition. Specifically, through animal model experiments, we will: (1) characterize changes in gut microbiota composition at multiple taxonomic levels after long-term Nauclea officinalis intervention; (2) assess its impact on gut microbiota diversity; and (3) identify key microbial taxa associated with Nauclea officinalis treatment. The relevance of this research is that, despite widespread traditional use of Nauclea officinalis, its long-term effects on the gut microbiome remain unclear. Theoretically, this study will provide foundational data on how Nauclea officinalis modulates gut microbiota, offering new insights into its mechanisms of action. Practically, the findings will provide scientific evidence for evaluating the safety and potential prebiotic effects of long-term Nauclea officinalis use, guiding its future application in therapeutics or health products.
