Metagenomic sequencing of Streptomyces lydicus populations during in situ adaptive evolution in soil

In this study, Streptomyces lydicus was exposed to three different farm soils in situ for up to two years while contained in an isolation chip-type device. Metagenomic sequencing was conducted after three months, ten months, and 24 months to track genomic changes in the evolving populations.
