Galilee Subregion Land Tenure Assessment

## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. The parent datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThis dataset contains extracts, clips and an amalgamation of data relating to land tenure within the Galilee subregion. Data is sourced from national and state land tenure, land use and protected area databases and combined into shapefiles which allow for the assessment and analysis of land tenure within the Galilee subregion.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThis dataset combines clipped and extracted data from a number of national and state databases. This dataset contains the following 11 shapefiles relating to land tenure in the Galilee subregion:\n\n\n\n1. GALQLD_CADASTRETENURE_20140128.shp - a merge of all LGA tenure shapefiles from the "QLD Cadastral data for the Galilee subregion - 12/01/2014" dataset\n\n\n\n2. GALQLD_CADASTRETENURE_clip_20140128.shp - "GALQLD_CADASTRETENURE_20140128.shp" Clipped to the Galilee subregion boundary\n\n\n\n3. GAL_Tenure_GeneralRegion_alb.shp - Copy of "GALQLD_CADASTRETENURE_20140128.shp"\n\n\n\n4. GAL_Tenure_Subregion_clip_20140128.shp - Copy of "GALQLD_CADASTRETENURE_clip_20140128.shp"\n\n\n\n5. GAL_Tenure_Subregion_clip_20140130.shp - "Catchment-scale Land Use Management (CLUM)" polygons clipped to the Galilee subregion boundary\n\n\n\n6. GAL_Tenure_Subregion_clip_20140130V2.shp - Copy of "GAL_Tenure_Subregion_clip_20140128.shp" with the 'Shape_Area' field deleted\n\n\n\n7. GAL_GrazingNativeVegetation.shp - "Catchment-scale Land Use Management (CLUM)" with the 'Tert_V7' code = "2.1.0 Grazing natural vegetation", clipped to the Galilee subregion boundary\n\n\n\n8. GAL_Tenure_Grazing_intersect.shp - "GAL_GrazingNativeVegetation.shp" spatially joined to "GAL_Tenure_Subregion_clip_20140130V2.shp"\n\n\n\n9. GAL_Tenure_Grazing_Clip.shp - "GAL_Tenure_Subregion_clip_20140130V2.shp" Clipped to "GAL_GrazingNativeVegetation.shp"\n\n\n\n10. GAL_ProtectedAreas__albers_Clip.shp - "Land use mapping - Queensland current" features with 'TERTIARY' = "National Park", "Other Conserved area" or "Production forestry" - Clipped to the Galilee subregion boundary\n\n\n\n11.
