资源简介:
D-frost model of the potential sublimation mass of the South Seasonal Polar Cap of Mars. The maps are in polar stereographic projection centered to the South Cap using Mars 2000 ellipsoid. Each dataset represents the daily mass sublimated, each 5°Ls time step. The energy balance takes into account altitude, slope and roughness. It assumes that CO2 ice is present with an albedo interpolated from OMEGA data. Please note that CO2 is NOT present everywhere/everytime and thus these potential sublimation mass maps must be masked to retrieve actual sublimation mass. Dataset in IDL/ENVI and PDS format (detached label): MOLA_south_defrost_ls_XXX_resize2, with XXX representing the solar longitude Ls from 90 to 330. MOLA_south_defrost_coordinates_resize2 with 2 planes Related articles: Schmidt, F.; Douté, S.; Schmitt, B.; Vincendon, M.; Bibring, J.-P. & Langevin, Y.
