Ontology Cross Reference Service

The Ontology Cross Reference Service (OxO) provides a database of ontology cross-references (or xrefs). These xrefs have been extracted from various sources including ontologies loaded into the Ontology Lookup Service and from sources such as the UMLS. OxO also allows users to upload their own mappings. The OxO website provides an interface for search the OxO database. From the homepage you can search for mappings for a given identifier. OxO supports searching by a range of identifier types including both prefixed CURIE identifiers and full ontology term URIs. OxO contains an extensive set of known identifier prefixes that it uses to resolve identifiers (e.g. both MSH and MeSH are known prefixes used to identify terms from the MesH vocabulary). OxO allows mapping between ontologies and supports user configuration of search and also sharing of mappings created for specific contexts.
