Abd al-Rahman Taha (97 years old from Nahalin) interviewed by Nader Najajra on 29 October 1998. <br>He describes the following: Ottomans were good but the British were not as they created conflict among the Arabs and turned them against each other; locust year and how they covered the sun; spread of diseases during World War I such as cholera and typhoid; ‘seferberlik’ – Ottoman military conscription. <br>Original audio recording: cassette tape. Transcript: summary. In the original collection at Bethlehem University this cassette tape was categorised as File 9 of Box 8. <br>This fileset exists as part of the Ottoman Empire and World War I collection within the Bethlehem University Oral History project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
