Title: Genomic and plastomic resources for the Bambusa tuldoides and Bambusa rigida complex (Poaceae: Bambusoideae)Abstract: This dataset provides comprehensive genomic resources for investigating the taxonomic relationship between Bambusa tuldoides and Bambusa rigida. It contains whole-genome resequencing (WGR) raw data and assembled complete chloroplast genomes (plastomes) for 14 woody bamboo accessions. These include 11 representative individuals of the B. tuldoides–B. rigida complex (sampled from major distribution areas, including type localities) and three outgroup species (Bambusa multiplex, Bambusa emeiensis, and Dendrocalamus brandisii).The WGR data were generated using the DNBSEQ-T7 platform with a paired-end sequencing strategy (PE150). The libraries were prepared with an average insert size of 350 bp, achieving a target sequencing depth of approximately 35× for each sample. These high-depth data provide a robust foundation for identifying nuclear SNPs and InDels to evaluate population genetic structure and differentiation.Additionally, we provide 14 complete chloroplast genomes assembled using GetOrganelle based on the WGR reads. These plastomes offer high-resolution maternal markers for phylogenetic reconstruction. This dataset is crucial for the integrative taxonomic revision of Bambusa species and serves as a valuable resource for future evolutionary studies in the tribe Bambuseae.
