Chirnells Moor N04 (Feb 2006)

Stone on private farmland near Glitteringstone, approximately 1000 metres NE of Thropton, Northumberland. A possible new find by NADRAP Team 3 or Rock VII of Newbigin (1934), this stone was referenced 'Chirnells Moor N04' and added to ERA in 2008 and described as: "A large sloping panel with cups in loosely scattered groups and without apparent arrangement. Five cups at the north end form a curve. Cups at south-west end are circular, but rough in appearance. These are small in form, arranged in a triangular pattern. They are thought artificial based upon this arrangement. On this cleaned 3D model, a few cups appear to have rings.
