Plastic waste generation in Spain 2015-2021

In 2021, Spain generated roughly 954,000 metric tons of plastic waste, a year-over-year increase of 8.8 percent. This was also the highest figure recorded in the indicated period. The services sector accounted for almost 27 percent of plastic waste generated in the Mediterranean country that year.
