This record describes the biological data collected on Rachel Cruise 12/1985. The data were obtained from the Gulf of Carpentaria and Torres Strait in May 1995. The dataset consists of length, sex, species identity data for sharks, mainly Carcharhinus tilstoni, Carcharhinus sorrah, Scomberomorus commerson and Thunnus tonggol, from gillnet and longline samples. This dataset was collected as part of the CSIRO Northern Pelagic Fish Stock Research Project.
