Hard bottom macrofauna from shallow water of Isfjorden (Spitsbergen)

In July 2017, divers collected kelp thalli along with hard substrates from four 0.25 m² frames at a depth of 7 m at site S2 (78° 11,278’ N 15° 08,693’ E) in Isfjorden to examine the density and diversity of macrozoobenthos. All macrofauna were identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level, with polychaetes classified to the family level and bryozoans to the genus level, and counted. Then, abundance was recalculated to number of individuals per square meter.
