Effects of Cistanche deserticola addition in the diet on ruminal microbiome and fermentation parameters of grazing sheep

Analysis of bacterial composition and community structure revealed that the addition of C. deserticola at the concentration of 2% and 4% led to an increase in the abundance and homogeneity of ruminal microorganisms and favored a good rumen fermentation environment, with C. deserticola at 2% showing a more pronounced effect.
