Meander Valley Tasmanian Wilderness Natural Resource Management - Stage 2

This project will deliver environmental improvements and long-term benefits to the Meander Valley area of the Tasmania Wilderness heritage site, which is greatly valued by the community. This area contains habitat supporting Eastern Barred Bandicoot and Growling Grass Frog. Threatening processes managed by this project include over-grazing, loss of habitat and under-story, feral cat impacts, weed invasion, erosion. Key strategies to manage these threats include: enhancing community awareness of existing values, enhancing community understanding of the impact of feral cats on threatened species and strategic improvements to habitat values through key activities.
