A TP53 -/- mouse model with a BALBc background genome has been used to generate mice that develop breast cancers representing all major subtypes of the human disease. To allow for the analysis of sequence changes that lead to subtype specificity from the same germline sequence, this study will generate sequence data from luminal, claudin-low and basal tumors as well as from a germline sample of the BALBc progenitor.
