Introduction The supporting information presented here includes the determined sediment physical parameters of samples obtained from different locations, sediment carbon and nitrogen contents, the chemical composition of sediments and the amoA gene abundances and potential ammonia-oxidizing rate of sediments at each sampling station (Table S1). The raw data of incubation experiments for determining the sediment potential ammonia oxidation rate (Table S2). In table S2, we presented the PARs of different location, station, raw data in samples obtained in summer and in winter.
