Sponge nsDNA (deep-sea sponges act as natural samplers of environmental DNA)

In this project we evaluate the potential and feasibility of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene (COI) in metabarcoding approaches using DNA collected by deep-sea sponges that work as natural samplers. Here we share the amplicon libraries of four sponge species (N=97) used to assess the metazoan biodiversity communities in the North Atlantic and Arctic regions.
