GSE4745 was obtained from the GEO database, which includes data on 150g male Wistar rats (Harlan) that were administered 65 mg/kg of streptozotocin to induce Type 1 diabetes.

Four replicates of control and diabetic rat ventricles were removed and frozen at three time points for total RNA isolation and hybridization to the Affymetrix RG-U34A microarray. The analysis in this article focused on eight samples collected at 42 days, with four samples for each group.
