Temperature monitoring in beehives: Apis mellifera and Bombus terrestris

Thermoregulation in social bees is critical to colony survival and growth. This dataset corresponds to temperature monitoring in hives using multiple DS18B20 series temperature sensors. Each dataset takes the form of a data-frame with "X_time" for the date in POSIXct format in UTC, followed by "X_value" for the temperature in degrees Celsius, "sensorid" for the temperature sensor identifier, "variable" for the measured variable (temperature), then "loc" to indicate whether the temperature corresponds to inside ("in") the hive or outside ("out"). Each dataset covers one week, with measurements taken at a frequency of 5 to 15 minutes.
